Our Story
Hi, I’m Rikki — founder of Paper Kisses, and a mum who knows first-hand how precious memories are... and how quickly they can fade.
In the past few years, I’ve experienced deep loss. I lost my Dad — my children’s grandad — and not long after, my younger sister, their Aunty. They were gone too soon, and my children were still so little.
As the days and months passed, I began to wonder:
How much would they remember?
Would they still feel close to the people who loved them so deeply?
That’s when I started telling stories at bedtime — gentle, familiar tales about the way Grandad whistled in the bush, the lessons he had taught them, the funny things their aunty used to say and the echo of her laughter. I could see those memories settling into their hearts.
And I realised: stories keep people close.
That’s where Paper Kisses began.
Why we exist
At Paper Kisses, we create personalised printed storybooks and keepsakes that help families remember the ones they’ve lost, celebrate the ones they love, and stay connected across time and distance.
Every story is lovingly crafted from the memories you share — personality traits, favourite sayings, heartfelt moments — and brought to life with soft, custom illustrations. Whether you’re helping a child remember their grandparent, sending a letter across oceans, or preserving a story for future generations, we’re here to help you hold on to what matters most.
A Story to Hold. A Memory to Keep.
Whether your Paper Kiss is for a child, a parent, a sibling or a friend — it’s more than a book.
It’s a quiet reminder that love lives on.
Even when they’re gone, or far away…
a Paper Kiss brings them close.
